The Paperdoll, Bellingham’s home for cards, gifts and more from independent designers will have one more go-round this holiday season. The Paperdoll POP-UP Shop will be a featured vendor at the The Pacific Arts Holiday Market, one of the premiere holiday craft marketplaces in NW Washington. The Pacific Arts Holiday Market will take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday December 2-18, 2011.
The Paperdoll closed its doors in June of 2011 after a five-year run in the Bellingham community. A fan and supporter of the Pacific Arts Holiday Market, The Paperdoll owner Shultzie Fay wanted to give her customers the chance to get their holiday Paperdoll fix while supporting the PAHM. “I felt that this was the best place to serve our customer base for their sometimes yearly holiday visit, and at the same time draw traffic to this amazing event.”
The Paperdoll POP-UP Shop plans to feature paper goods, accessories and gifts that were staples of the store, but not compete with established vendors already at the market. “The idea is to make this shopping venue an even broader reach – featuring designers not featured at the venue and items not easily accessible in the Bellingham area.” The Paperdoll featured items from around the globe and brought more than 500 different artists to its shelves over the five years it served the community.
